You will work at three adapted primary schools in Uppsala Municipality. These are Berga Adapted Primary School located on Norbyvägen, Johannesbäck Adapted Primary School located on Verkmästargatan, and Gottsunda Adapted Primary School located on Valthornsvägen. At all schools, you will be part of the student health team and collaborate with various professions.

Description of Duties

As a speech therapist in an adapted primary school, you will be part of the student health services and work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the school's student health team and is led by the principal.

The work will be based at three different adapted primary schools. You will have your direct supervisor at Johannesbäck Adapted Primary School. The work includes, among other things, supervision and consultation for school staff, collaboration with various external actors and guardians. It also involves driving various initiatives and training based on the schools' needs. You need to be flexible and contribute your expertise where the needs are.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist. This position requires both knowledge of and experience with students with intellectual disabilities. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. In your work, you see the whole picture and take into account the broader perspective. You understand your role but always consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
